York Shingle Starter Strip is an easy, cost-effective alternative to the traditional method of cutting and inverting shingles to form a starter course. Self-adhesive and cold applied, it may be installed over existing shingles or over any York membrane; no special adhesives, fasteners or special equipment required. York Shingle Starter Strip seals around nail penetrations to provide waterproofing protection, and its tough granular surface guards against physical damage while providing superior UV ray protection.

Available in single rolls 7.2" wide by 33'4" long.
